The pleasure Hadhrat Ādam must have felt when he saw a woman next to him as he awoke from a deep slumber, during which Allāh created a ‘mate’ for him from his body, is absolutely beyond our grasp. This mate called ‘Hawwā’ was a very special gift that Allāh presented to the first man of the human race.

NIGHTTIME IS THE RIGHT TIME TO MAKE “A SACRED CONVERSATION” WITH THE CREATOR

NIGHTTIME IS THE APPROPRIATE TIME TO MAKE “A SACRED CONVERSATION” WITH ALLAH SWT, THE CREATOR

by Syarif Hidayat

A silent night is an appropriate time to make “a sacred conversation” with Allah SWT,  the Creator through Tahajjud prayer (salat). The only nawafil (sunnah) salat mentioned in Quran is Tahajjud. A servant gets closer to Allah through tahajjud salat. Allah (SWT) chooses those who performs tajajjud salat regularly (every night) as his companion. Angels also becomes his companions.
The best time for tahajjud prayer is last part of the night (i.e. after two-third part of the night). The tahajjud is prayed in two raka'ats each. Instead of praying more raka'at it is better to recite long Surahs from Quran after reciting Surah Fathiha.
The last part of the night is the time when Allah (SWT) accepts duas. So, it is good to spend time for dua also after tahajjud salat.
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. “And in some parts of the night (also) offer the Salat (prayer) with it (i.e. recite the Qur'an in the prayer), as an additional prayer (tahajjud optional prayer - Nawafil) for you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه و سلم). It may be that your Lord will raise you to Maqam Mahmud (a station of praise and glory, i.e. the honour of intercession on the Day of Resurrection.)”  (Al-Qur’an, Al-Isra, Chapter 17, Verse 79)

CHILDREN EDUCATION: IT IS EASIER TO TEACH CHILDREN THAN TO BUILD THEIR CHARACTERS

CHILDREN EDUCATION: IT IS EASIER TO TEACH CHILDREN THAN TO BUILD THEIR CHARACTERS

by Syarif Hidayat

It is easy to educate our children to become clever individuals as there are many FINE schools and universities available almost everywhere as long as we have enough money to finance their education. But it is very difficult to build their own characters to become FINE and well-behaved individuals lawfully and religiously!
Beside the caring parents and the good education, they also need good examples from their parents and the society especially the public figures such as honest and well-behaved bureaucrats, politicians, religious leaders as well as the other public figures.

Sincerity its reality and aquisition
by islaam.org

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Allah Ta’ala (Most High) says:
“Verily, the Mu’mineen (Believers) are those who believe in Allah, and His Rasul. Thereafter they have no doubt and they strive in the Path of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Assuredly, they are the Saadiqoon (the sincere/truthful ones).” (Quran 49:15)
The following is narrated in the Hadith Shareef:
“The Prophet (peace be upon him) passed by Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) while he was reviling some of his slaves. The Prophet (peace be upon him) turned towards him and said: “(There are) those People who curse, and those who are sincere/truthful!” Abu Bakr (Allah be pleased with him) said, “I shall never repeat it.

ISLAMIC THINKING: THE MIRACLE OF POSITIVE THINKING

POSITIVE THINKING IN ISLAM: THE MIRACLE OF POSITIVE THINKING

Combating Negative Thinking

The excellent Productive Muslim.com site has an article on combating negative thinking. Here are the quotes from the article:

"To be a productive, dynamic muslim,it is extremely important that we inculcate a mindset of positivity. A mindset of positivity leads to proactivity and eventually leads to creating a productive life. If the mindset of positivity is missing, and we are negative and self loathing, and have no hope, do you ever think we would have the enthusiasm to do things and be productive?

One of the greatest secrets to being a productive person is letting go your negative self-talk and switching to positivity. Behind that door of negativity, there is a brighter, happier, productive life waiting for you."
